yesterday was our (uwa's) annual spring festival. and that means that all the asian pple in uwa would get together (well some..) and cook local 'delights' and sell it at a damm expensive price to other asian pple and stupid ang mohs. of cos the asian pple, due to the lack of authentic asian food in perth, wld gladly dig out the money and pay ridiculous prices for not so delightful food.

well i wld say that yesterday's spring fest is much better than last year's. last year's was indeed a sore disappointment. why i say that is because the food was not only bad, the organisation of stalls were even worse. everything was all over the place, almost creating mass confusion. and the performances were not up to par. well there was only one highlight of the evening. the band they hired from curtin. the band members were mostly malay. not that i had anything against them. more like i actually enjoyed myself while they were playing. in my opinion, malays generally have good voices and can sing. that's why taufik won sg idol. that and the fact that sg idol totally sucked.

yesterday's spring fest had some credible stalls. namely the indian (tho not as good as golden tandoori or analakshmi - is that how u spell it?) stall and the malay stalls. the satay queue was like damm bloody long lah.. and not to mention at like 10 plus, there were still pple queuing up for satay and they had to ration the last batch. stupid prcs who were before us went to buy 2 portions of satay, effectively taking up 10 sticks by their stupid prc selves. leaving joyce with only 3. biatch!!! anyways the chendol was actually good but too bad, we went too late and it was all sold out. damn! the siam noodles - the dry one was also good.. good sized portion and tasty going at 3 bucks. worth my money. the other malay stall was also selling satay which were also pretty good.

they had a band playing at the entertainment area. oh by the way.. the organisation of stalls this year was much better than last year. neater. anyways, the band, they were called bleach. oh gosh!!! talking abt this band.. any bands that played for search for a star cld easily beat them hands down. not that zion has any bands. they are all under the same boss lah. well.. any one of them who played on stage that night could easily beat them flat. esp the lead singer... wah lau!! the voice ah... not meant for singing rock lah. he has a nice voice, he keeps in tune/tone. but then when he sand green day's boulevard of broken dreams.. wahhhh cmi man cmi!!! and plus he sand maroon 5's she will be loved... wahhh!!! even more cmi!! well they must be credited for one thing, that is making my night memorable sia. cos they were so cmi that i can actually remember their song list and shit. the guy who sang creed's higher for search for a star was sooo much better man! why didn't he sing? oh i forogt.. he's from curtin.. ahhahaha and the guy who played the elec guitar was soooo much better than the guitarists last night lah. (even if pple read this and are from uwa, they can't say anything much.. cos i'm freaking entitiled to my own opinions! so there!!)

i have heard so much abt curtin's spring fest.. how good it is.. how big it is.. how nice the food are. so i'm going to curtin's one tonight. will post abt it laters... ahhahaah looking forward to good food and entertainment. hahahahah!!! i miss sg's food heaps man!!!! hahaha help me i wanna go home!!!!
